singer. songwriter. photographer. Adventurer. washington, d.c.
Born in Washington, D.C. and raised in Hampton Roads, VA, Kayt Adorian was singing, playing the organ, writing songs and learning to harmonize with her twin sister at the age of 5. At the age of 7 she was asking her mother for piano lessons and was accepted into the Able and Ambitious program, inspired by artists such as Phil Collins, Cyndi Lauper, Stevie Wonder and Whitney Houston as a little girl.
Back in Hampton Roads, Adorian sang at open mics and live venues and recorded alongside hometown artists but left a teaching job to go backpack through New Zealand. On her 4 month backpacking trip, she was asked to record and be filmed for an independent film, “Hit Me With Your Rainbow.” Back from her trip, she decided to pursue music professionally being a featured artist and performer alongside Baltimore’s spoken word and hip-hop artist Femi “The DriFish” Lawal as well as joining the Baltimore Alternative Country/Whiskey Rock band, Olyver James.
Adorian is now currently in Northern Virginia focused on her in-home studio, Hopeland Studios, with fellow musician and artist, Stefan Heinemann, with hopes of bringing more covers and original pieces to you soon!
Exploring the world with heart, mind & brains: it’s a catalog of one artist’s adventure across 5 continents & different jobs in between…independent and unframed.
